COUNSELLING AND THERAPY IN BANSTEAD, SURREY AND ONLINE

Time to Talk Day 2025

Yesterday (6th February 2025) was Time to Talk Day, an initiative run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness  The idea is to open up conversations about mental health.  We all have mental health just like we all have physical health,  our levels of both can fluctuate over time.  So much progress has been made to de-stigmatise discussing mental health but it is so important to keep the conversation going.  This can be as simple as texting a friend or having a chat with a colleague as you make a coffee, sharing how you're feeling and checking in with them about how they are.  The more we have these conversations the easier it becomes and the more they will continue.

Opening up and sharing how you are feeling might feel difficult.  I get that. Talking about feelings can be tough sometimes, especially if you’re not sure how to put them into words or if you're worried about how others might react. What makes it hard for you? Is it the vulnerability, or maybe you’re not sure where to start?  Counselling can give you a safe space to help you find the words in what might feel like chaos.  If you're considering counselling do reach out to me and we can have a conversation about how I might be able to help.
